Many have said data is the new oil – those who produce it, shape it, control it and own it have a distinct power advantage. Information is currency.

The world is rushing towards production 200 zettabytes of data by 2025according to Cybersecurity Ventures.

It is not only necessary to have information, but also to know how to use it wisely. The key to effective knowledge management can be boiled down to a rapidly evolving technology: AI.

AI is not without its detractors, and for good reason. For one thing, AI has become a powerful weapon for bad actors are looking to increase their cybercrime capabilities – among other concerns.

But AI is also becoming incredibly adept at processing and managing large amounts of information – to a degree that would have seemed unimaginable just a few years ago.

The results generated by AI can only be as good as the inputs. It is therefore essential to ensure that the data provided to AI systems is accurate, relevant and complies with regulatory requirements. Additionally, robust access controls and encryption mechanisms must be implemented to protect sensitive information and prevent unauthorized access.
