Weekly 60-Second “Security Boost” Launched on Cybercrime Magazine Podcast

This week on cybersecurity from the editors of Cybercrime Magazine

Listen to the Security Nudge podcast

Sausalito, California – March 6, 2024

CybSafe believes in encouraging and supporting people towards good cybersecurity hygiene.

A new ’60-second weekly’Safety boost» series launched yesterday on the Cybercrime Magazine podcast. Each episode aims to encourage good safety behaviors and help people implement them.

The first push warns that the number of CEOs and other management positions blocked by an ongoing phishing campaign continues to rise, with cybercriminals recording hundreds of cloud account takeovers, or ATOs, over the past 90 days.

Successful account takeover attacks are often the result of weak, reused passwords. Cybsafe recommends setting and enforcing a strong password policy that includes enabling multi-factor authentication, or MFA, for all accounts.

“CybSafe is the perfect sponsor for nudges because they are obsessed with measuring, understanding and influencing human behavior,” says Steve Morgan, founder of Cybersecurity Ventures and editor-in-chief of Cybercrime Magazine.

The “Security Nudge” episodes can be viewed at SecurityNudge.com.

“CISOs and security leaders have told us that small, ongoing nudges can help employees adopt good cybersecurity behavior,” Morgan adds. “Each nudge shares a threat to users and a practical tip.”
