Science fiction writer Philip K. Dick once observed that “the basic tool for manipulating reality is the manipulation of words.” He did not live long enough to witness the semantic erosion, nor the deliberate attempt to distort the connotations of all words associated with immigration. Nevertheless, the mass immigration lobby has used an underhanded tactic to influence public opinion, which is obvious to anyone following the debate.
