Age requirements

Criminal history
Neither parent should have a criminal history. If one of them has been convicted of a crime in the past, they will need to write a letter of explanation stating that their conviction has been overturned and that they are no longer inadmissible to Canada.

Parents must describe a specific reason why they are visiting Canada. In most cases, they can state that they are simply visiting their child(ren) who reside in the country. They must indicate whether they intend to visit Canada for a specific event, such as a wedding.
Visa officers may refuse parents who cannot provide a convincing explanation. It is therefore essential to provide accurate details of the planned visit.
Intention to leave Canada
Your parents must prove that they have ties to their home country and plan to return after visiting Canada. This may include employment, housing or family ties in their home country.
