Tarek Kuzbari: I still remember one night in 1992, my father banned me from playing PC games for 12 months. He discovered that due to my careless use of my computer, the device was infected with malware called Michelangelo. This was a big deal for me. And since that day, viruses have become my biggest enemy. As a result, I graduated with a computer engineering degree and focused on the technology field. Frankly, I was more inclined towards the technology business side than the technical side. So I started at a systems integration company in a business development role focused on introducing a cybersecurity solution to the region. After a few years, we partnered with Kaspersky Lab to sell their products and services. Within 12 months, Kaspersky Lab recruited me to join them and grow their Middle East operations from scratch. It was a great success.

During my career I have been exposed to many fields, but cybersecurity remains my favorite, the reason is that most people in this field tend to be smart, active and want to make a difference in the world .

As far as achievements go, I believe it was getting an MBA from London Business School while working and having a child. It was one of the most difficult times I have experienced. Although the industry has rewarded me with many awards during my work, such as: Selected among the “30 under 30” by Gulf Business Magazine Ranked among “The 25 Most Powerful Executives in the Middle East” by Arabian Computer News. among the “best leaders in the Middle East security sector” according to Network Middle East
