This week, ESET researchers described the ins and outs of a so-called watering hole attack against a news site that reports on Gilgit-Baltistan, part of the disputed region of Kashmir administered by Pakistan. When opened on a mobile device, the Urdu version of the Hunza News website offers readers the option to download an Android application directly from the website; However, readers are unaware that the app is actually an unknown spyware that ESET discovered and named Kamran.
