ACM.340 Sometimes you just need to think a little about a complex technical problem.

Today my brain is tired and I watch the birds in my garden. I feel like it’s been a bit of an unproductive week. But I guess, like Thomas Edison trying to create the light bulb, I’ve ruled out some things that don’t work. At least, not in the way I would like.

Here is a painted banner for your greatest pleasure. These guys are really shy and this is the best photo I have so far. But maybe, like my task orchestration strategy, I’ll have a clearer idea later.

In the last article, I thought about my options for running simple tasks in batches. I’ve determined that Batch is simply too complicated for my needs and Lambda won’t let me do something really simple: take on a role within MFA.

I really don’t understand why this isn’t working and I’m wondering if I did something wrong.

Also, I’m not really sure how secure Lambda is for MFA codes anyway. Upon further investigation, this may have been a short-term solution.

So I’m stuck. Type of. I have some ideas for simplifying the process of running batch jobs, but every time I start writing it I feel like it becomes too complex again. I think through all the problems and sometimes when you’re stuck you just need to do something.

There are things you know and things you are trying to understand. These are the things I know.
