This week saw the launch of our UWEcyber guest seminar series for the new academic year. Each week we invite guests from industry, government and academia to discuss the latest developments in the cybersecurity landscape with our students.
This week we welcomed Marc Moore of the South West Cyber Resilience Center (SWCRC), an initiative set up to bring together police and academia to help regional SMEs improve their cybersecurity skills.
The SWCRC offers our students a fantastic opportunity to be part of a network beyond the university, working with students from across the UK and helping SMEs who are not necessarily tech savvy to improve their posture against cyberattacks.
The SWCRC offers paid casual work opportunities, which would complement UWE Bristol. We have seen UWE Bristol students successfully apply to this program in previous years, and we want to ensure this success continues. For more details, please visit: SWCRC South West Cyber Resilience Center
