DHS abandons effort to cancel international contractor parole program

On May 10, 2021, United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced (link) that it rescinds a 2018 notice of proposed rulemaking (see the blog) to withdraw the International Contractor Parole Program, which had been established by a final rule published on January 17, 2017. The rule had previously been authorized to take effect (see the article) due to an injunction against an initial attempt to end the program in 2017.
