March 19 “With Jerry as Himself” (Movie): An Inside Look by Cybercrime Magazine

In the film 2023 “With Jerry as himself“, a family documents how their Taiwanese immigrant father, Jerry Hsu, a recently divorced and retired Florida native, was recruited by Chinese police to become an undercover agent.
The film’s director, Law Chen, and its producer, Jonathan Hsu (who is also Jerry’s son and plays himself), recently joined Cybercrime Magazine to give us the backstory on “Starring Jerry As Himself,” released last year.
A new 4 minute and 30 second video produced by Cybercrime Magazine combines footage from the film and interview segments with Chen and Hsu.
“Everyone is the hero of their own movie. “It’s a central idea of the hybrid documentary,” according to the Austin Chronicle, which also reports that the film was screened as part of the 2023 Austin Asian American Film Festival.
