I had the unfortunate incident of a power outage that destroyed the brains of my firewall. Even if I had a backup firewall, it is not configured. So I still had to do a bit of work to put this all together. I’ve revisited and improved my steps and will eventually remove the paywall on this one so everyone can read it. It links to my other posts containing screenshots. This post is going to be a little sparse.

> Take your Netgate pfSense device offline (which means disconnecting it from the internet, which luckily you can do easily with this device, unlike a Ubiquiti UDM Pro, or at least the version I received in the mail when I ordered one.) I use both devices but don’t expose the latter to the Internet. It’s behind pfSense.
