I had RDP working on Ubuntu on AWS but it doesn’t work anymore. It’s frustrating when things that used to work stop working and you have to stop progress to go back and troubleshoot again.
I followed the steps in this post.
I don’t think I did anything different. I wonder if I chose too small an instance type.
I’m still having issues because the version of Ubuntu on AWS forces the use of IPv6, so I have to open it only for updates and then close it again to comply with my network requirements. I really wish this could be fixed.
Beyond that, I understood that when you type a wrong password, you enter the instance?! But don’t go past a few more login screens. Seems like you shouldn’t go this far with a bad password………..
